Wall space behind large indoor tree

Love your house! And how you layered in all the color.
How tall is that tree, LOL!
Since the space behind the tree is narrow I would use the vertical space and go high.
You can buy some plain birch boards and paint a design yourself or check out society6 https://society6.com/wood-wall-art
You can arrange the square anyway you like and the sky is the limit on height. I attached a photo below that may help. Excuse the poor picture quality, I have since moved. I bought enough panels to make a 4X8 rectangle.

Great idea! I never would have thought to go much higher than the tree but I love the idea. The tree is about 9 feet at it’s highest point. Are you talking about doing wood painted panels behind the tree?
Thank you!!!

Yes, behind the tree – just make sure the pattern is subtle so the tree takes center stage.

Ok great! Thanks for your ideas. I’ll post back when I’ve completed my project!

I would suggest color. Let the tree leaves themselves be the texture, so to speak. Would love to see pics of how it turns out!

Thank you! I will definitely post pictures

I love the wood panel look. It really complements the wall and the plant. It is funny how we forget we can go up beyond eye level especially with a focal piece that not only fills the space behind the plant but draws the visual even higher!!! Love it

I am still looking at subtle patterns to paint on the panels. I have chosen a golden yellow as the color.
I really feel this is going to work well with the tall wall to bring the eye upwards and not just eye level.
Thank you!

I am not sure what to do behind the tree except maybe paint a lighter color behind it so the tree shows up more. But I was thinking it would be fun to wrap the tree with white Christmas lights. Could be a fun way to liven up the tree!
I love your glass balls hanging above they are amazing!

That is a great idea! And thank you for complimenting my glass ball curtain. It was a project that took a long time to put together. CB2 sells the the orb strands and one day it hit me to make a curtain of them. I took awhile to figure out where in my house but I love how it turned out. Dusting them is a whole other story!!!
Thank you!

I love the Christmas lights idea too !
